HISTORY :
The history of Nintendo begin in the eastern part of Kyoto, a city in Japan known as the capital of Japan in the past. Nintendo starts with an artist and craftsman karuta (か る た, Japanese term for cards / absorption words from the Portuguese language) called Fusajiro Yamauchi (山 内 房 治郎). In 1889, Fusajiro founded Nintendo Koppai, a company that manufactures and sells Hanafuda (花 札). A traditional Japanese playing cards.

1977-1980 Color TV-Game (カラー テレビゲーム)
Is a series of five home dedicated consoles, created by Nintendo and released in Japan only. The Color TV-Game series has the highest sales figures of the first generation of video game consoles. The systems can run on C batteries or an AC adapter.

1980-1991 Game & Watch (ゲーム&ウオッチ)
Created by game designer Gunpei Yokoi, each Game & Watch features a single game to be played on an LCD screen in addition to a clock and alarm, or both. Based on a 4-bit CPU from the Sharp SM5xx family, that include a small ROM and RAM area and an LCD screen.

1988-2001 Family Computer Network System
(ファミリーコンピュータ ネットワークシステム)
Famicom Net System or Famicom Modem, is a video game peripheral for Nintendo's Family Computer, released in September 1988 only in Japan. It uses a card based format, reminiscent to the HuCard for Hudson Soft's and NEC's PC Engine or the Sega Card for the Master System.

The 8-bit home video game console developed and manufactured by Nintendo. It is a remodeled export version of the company's Family Computer (Famicom). Actually NES and Famicom were launched almost simultaneously. The name of the FAMICOM is only used in Japan, because the Famicom is only released in Japan.
