Hikiko San

URBAN LEGEND
JAPAN

HIKIKO SAN
ひきこさん

I don't think many of you know about this female ghost. Yes that's how it is...apart from being rarely discussed, this ghost turned out to be less popular than Sadako or Kayako. As an addition to insight and knowledge, I will give a little story about her.

WHO IS HIKIKO
Hikiko san (ひきこさん) is an urban legend started to deter children from bullying. Her story says she was beaten at home by her father, which caused her to look deformed and her deformities caused her to also get bullied at school. One day, she had enough. Some say she committed suicide, while others say she was killed by her father. None the less, she has come back as a hostile spirit, seeking out those who have wronged her and killing them by dragging them on the ground until they die.

ANOTHER STORY VERSION
Mori Hikiko (森ひきこさん) is a bad-faced little girl who is always tortured by her parents and friends. He was very depressed and experienced mental shock. For revenge, Hikiko will catch small children, drag them and ruthlessly mutilate them. Until finally the Hikiko figure disappeared, no trace was found.
One day it was reported that there was a terrifying creature suspected of being Hikiko who wandered. The figure is very scary, he is often on the steps of a crossing bridge or small tunnel. He also always held a doll tightly using a white long-sleeved shirt that looked dull and had long hair covering his face.

IMPORTANT!
Never approach her or rebuke, because she will immediately attack you then drag you and cut you into cruel and sadistic parts of your body.

According to the story, if you meet him then he drags you strong. Immediately tell her "Orikosan...Orikosan" (Good child...Good child), then she will be touched and let go of hers grip.
And this is a coincidence or not, the name Mori Hikiko if behind his first and last name, will be "Hikikomori" which means someone who closes from the social and continues to be in the room.

ひきこは、日本民話上で、同級生に苛められて両親にも虐待を受けたという女性の精霊と知られている。 彼女は、ひどい人生を生きて、哀れな運命だった。

A lesson can be taken from the Hikiko story, respect and care for others.
Don't ever bully him even though we are different. Arigatou!
